The werewolves, or Garou, were created by the world spirit Gaia to be a weapon against the corruption of the potent Wyrm. Their teeth, claws, and inginuity give them the tools to fight against its machinations.

A werewolf’s breed is the shape they were born in. Lupus for wolf-born, Homid for human-born, and Metis for those unfortunates born from the union of two Garou.

Determined by the phase of the moon in the sky where and when the werewolf was born.

The werewolf’s tribe

Werewolves are primarily organized into tribes, each of which follows a major spirit and claims a certain mystical lineage. Tribe mates typically have certain powers and outlooks in common.

Name of the sept the werewolf lives near and protects

The sept is the territory claimed by a group of werewolves. Usually this means multiple packs, but it can be as small as a single pack’s territory. Septs can cover many miles of area and are always centered on a caern, a pure spiritual place.

The role of the werewolf within their pack

Almost all packs have at least one role: the alpha. They direct their pack’s actions and keep everyone focused. Outside of that, ad-hoc roles can easily spring up based on the needs of the pack.
